Lightmare’s core purpose is to “Transform Lives Through Games”. Whilst our video games have literally been lifesavers for our players, we also aim to impact the world for the better both through our day to day operations and our Social Games Community.
Lightmare Studios has partnered with B1G1 to be a business for good. Our events, programs, game sales and even each individual email sent by our team all contribute to us paying it forward to those in need.
As of October 2021, Lightmare has been giving children access to education, planting trees and giving access to clean water. Click the logo below to learn more about B1G1.
One very personal impact that is an example of the lives that are transformed through our Social Games Community is the story of participant shared below, who we'll call "B" :
“B suffered childhood trauma of a serious kind, is now 35, and has not spoken much since, and had not merged at all with another offering similar to ours. I spoke to B directly and we bonded over WW2, he found the Battle of Britain his favourite battle, mine was Stalingrad. He didn’t talk much but agreed to give us a go. His mum called me the next day after his first session saying he really enjoyed it. He subsequently joined the program and Mum called me again 3 weeks later deeply appreciative of “whatever we are doing” that was working. She said she hadn’t seen him speak so much in years and was so immersed with us. He started with us in December last year and is still with us today.”
