Lightmare Studios traveled to San Francisco in 2015, and won “Best in Play” at the Game Developers Conference “GDC Play” event, for it’s flagship title “Infinity Wars”.
”Infinity Wars” has received much critical acclaim for it’s groundbreaking features such as simlutaneous play and being world’s first digital card game to have every card animated.
Lightmare Studios, along with The Gordon, our training partners in the Geelong region and InkLab project management were proud to be the recipients of three awards in 2014, for the Interactive Design Program; the virtual version of the Lightmare Program. The Interactive Design Program pilot was funded in part by the Australian Government Department of Education.

People’s Choice and First Runners Up Award Winner for the Australian IDEA Learning Impact Awards 2014
Awarded by the IMS Global Learning Consortium. “The mission of the IMS Global Learning Consortium is to advance technology that can affordably scale and improve educational participation and attainment. To ensure that the “Learning Impact” of technology-enabled innovation is achieved around the world, IMS’s influential community of educational institutions, suppliers, and government organizations develops open interoperability standards, supports adoption with technical services, and encourages adoption through programs that highlight effective practices.
The Learning Impact Awards recognize the most powerful and influential uses of technology worldwide in support of learning worldwide. This unique program was created in 2007 for the purpose of recognizing outstanding applications of technology that address the most significant challenges facing the global education segment. Additionally, the Learning Impact Awards program aims to identify repeatable implementation of “efficient IT” practices that can help institutions and educational authorities increase access, create personalized learning environments, improve student engagement and improve actionable assessment.”
Nomination for a Victorian Training Award in the Industry Collaboration sector
“The Victorian Training Awards, at the time in their 60th year, promote and reward outstanding achievement and innovation in vocational education and training. They also acknowledge the strong partnerships between training providers and Victorian businesses which are vital to providing a strong skills base for Victoria.”
Awarded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD). We find out on 26 September 2014 if we have won. Wish us luck!
