An Ode to Bemmie
In early 2022, Bemmie reached out to us at Lightmare after seeing our game. They saw the passion of our community, and the potential we had to make an impact on the greater esports world of competitive digital card games. Bemmie wanted to bring their experience and encyclopedia of contacts to us, and after seeing their genuine passion and excitement for all things competitive gaming, they quickly became part of the family.
Things were only just beginning. We had Bemmie stream and organise a few premiere tournaments, bringing in new talent and cool people to join the community, and we were talking about the potential of bringing Infinity Wars to the world at Dreamhack and other events. Despite knowing Bemmie for less than a year, their positive can-do attitude and relatable demeanour of a professional having fun made them someone we valued on a personal level.
After Bemmie’s passing, we reached out to Bemmie’s mother for consent to immortalise them with an animation and a card in our game. She responded enthusiastically, and with her help we brought Bemmie into the digital realm. Immortalised as the Paragon of Community, helping the little guy and always making the world just a little brighter with their presence. The sign language they’re using is a simple message:
“I love you, always remember that.”

What is Infinity Wars?
Bemmie’s mother, insistent on carrying on her offspring’s torch, has been actively supporting us in whatever way they can, and wanted to find a way to help promote our game. If you’re not into gaming or don’t know how computers work, don’t worry.
For everyone else, Infinity Wars is a free to play digital card game bringing death to pay to win - On making an account, you unlock every single card in the game, ready to play at the same power level as people who have collected for years. Competitive integrity should never be locked behind investing four-figures into micro-transactions or playing for 60 hours a week to grind the cards you need. The moment you start, you have access to over 900 cards across several factions to begin exploring.
The game involves simultaneous turns, bringing a whole new level of strategic depth to your game - requiring you to outplay, predict, and outsmart your opponent. You also have multiple zones to play from, and a commander system that will feel familiar to some physical card game players. These commanders also influence your deck’s purity, which change your options and abilities in deck building. Getting the perfect purity mix to unlock the most crucial parts you’ll need for your game plan is a pivotal part of Infinity Wars deck building.
